4 Personal Development Podcasts to Listen to Now

4-personal-development-podcasts-to-listen-to-now

Podcasts. Oh, podcasts. They came into my life only about a year ago (I know, a little late to the game) when my colleague made me promise to listen to Serial (season 1). With an hour commute to and from home, that was easy to binge through; I also listened to season 2 while it was happening. I love stories, and in the early mornings and late evenings before and after work, I have found podcasts to be amazing resources to learn, reflect, and question my entire life in one way or another – can you relate?

Since last year, I have devoured a long list of podcasts and have really gotten hooked on personal development ones. Countless episodes have personally helped me to stop and actually think deeply about a lot of important issues that I hardly take the time to ever think about, which is why I am so excited to share a few of my personal growth favorites with you today! If you listen to some of these podcasts, I think you’ll get a lot of out of them just like I did.

Life Coach School with Brooke Castillo

The Life Coach School podcast is chalk FULL of helpful advice on how you can improve your life by dealing with your emotions, negative thoughts, and understanding how to solve your own problems. The narrator, Brooke Castillo has the perfect voice for a podcast, and I often feel soothed after listening to her speak. This is my absolute go-to podcast for a personal development pick-me-up. You can read more about Brooke’s work here.

Happier with Gretchen Rubin

Gretchen Rubin studies habits and happiness for a living – pretty cool stuff to research! Before I read her book, “The Happiness Project,” I had no idea how much your habits impact your daily life. In the podcast, Gretchen breaks down the strategies and processes that she writes about in her books and on her blog and goes into more detail about each one. After listening to Episode #1, “The One-Minute Rule,” I immediately started implementing this strategy for tackling clutter, and it has worked well for me.

Your Best Just Got Better with Jason W. Womack

This is my most recently discovered personal development podcast. It focuses on sharing techniques and tools that allow people to implement their plans, take action, and experience success in life and work. I love that Jason’s episodes are bite-sized – most episodes are between 5-10 minutes. Although this podcast isn’t updated any longer, over 200 episodes are already uploaded and ready for listening!
